EKo, IBEDC Electricity Distribution Companies Felicitate with Customers on Eid-El-Fitr Celebrations

EKEDC assures customers of stable power supply during Salah holidayThe managements of Eko and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Companies  felicitate with  their customers on this year’s Eid-El-Fitr celebration. 

Eko Disco in a goodwill message signed by Godwin Idemudia, General Manager, Corporate Communications, he congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, which marks the end of the fasting period.

Idemudia said while the fasting may have ended, it is important to sustain the virtues, ideals, and values beyond the month of Ramadan, considering its immense benefit for us as individuals and as a community.

“As we commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, it is important that we continue to exemplify the true teachings and lessons of Ramadan which include piety, sober reflection, sacrifice, goodwill, love for God and a deep sense of communal living

 

He added that values like tolerance and love for one another, are imperative for peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, and cooperation in the community and our country at large.

Idemudia said that the Company is putting in efforts to ensure that it consolidate and sustain its culture of excellent service to its customers, in line with its performance improvement plan.

He added that the Company is also committed to the ongoing National Mass Metering Programme NMMP, adding that a lot of its customers have already benefitted from the programme and appealed to customers to support the Company’s efforts by using its designated channels for the immediate settlement of bills and all other obligations.

In the same vein, the Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) in a statement, wishes all its esteemed customers and Nigerians a happy Eid -Mubarak.

John Ayodele, Chief Operating Officer (COO), in his the goodwill message, he urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the virtues and morals of the Ramadan season of selflessness and piety.

Ayodele said “IBEDC is aware that our customers are looking forward to enjoying uninterrupted services during the holidays, so, we are committed to ensuring this as much as is within our remit and control.

“Our technical crew are also available to rectify any faults that may arise during this period, but we appeal that none of our staff going about their lawful duties should be harassed or molested in any way.

IBEDC would explore all available legal options to seek redress should any of our staff become a victim of harassment”.

He further pleaded with customers and all Nigerians that while celebrating the Ramadan to observe and adhere to the COVID- 19 safety protocols of hand washing, use of face masks and physical distancing as recommended by Nigerian Centre Disease Control (NCDC).

It is also important that other safety precautions such as proper supervision of children to prevent electrical accidents, no cooking or trading under a high-tension wire and engagement of quacks to fix faults are equally observed.

Ayodele finally urged customers to take advantage of our Hassle-free payment platforms- Fetswallet, Quick teller, etransact, Payarena, Jumia and USSD to pay their electricity bills promptly and vend to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

“Our payment centers will remain open during the holidays from 9am-3pm daily to attend to customers for bill payment.
