Yesterday, we published a story that MTN has notified its customers about its planned network freeze period which will start today, February 24th, 2023.  It was discovered that the story got many customers of the networks confused because they felt it means there would be no services from the company.

Experts have, however, clarified what the exercise means. According to them, the exercise would not disrupt the services the company provides to its customers.

According to one of the IT experts consulted, Shina Badiru, the exercise simply means that the back-end activities that are usually carried out daily will be suspended during the 6 days period.

The freeze periods are as below

  1. Presidential and National Assembly elections: 6 days
