The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced that registration and submission of applications for the Pre-Qualification stage of the Nigeria 2025 Licensing Round will officially close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
According to the Commission, the deadline is in strict compliance with Section 11.2 of the Licensing Round Guidelines, and no extensions are expected beyond the stated timeframe.
The regulator urged all prospective applicants to ensure that their submissions fully meet the stipulated requirements as outlined in the guidelines. This includes complete documentation, adherence to technical and financial criteria, and timely upload of all required materials within the designated portal before the deadline.
The 2025 Licensing Round is part of ongoing efforts by the Commission to deepen upstream investment, enhance transparency in asset allocation, and strengthen Nigeria’s oil and gas exploration and production capacity. Industry stakeholders have been encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity while observing strict regulatory compliance.
Applicants are therefore advised to finalize all outstanding documentation and complete their submissions ahead of the closing date to avoid disqualification.
