MTN Plans Network Freeze During Elections

MTN has notified it customers of a planned network freeze period which will start on February 24^th, 2023.

The notice sent out by the company stated how the planned network will take place and solicit the understanding of its customers. The notice stated thus:

“Please be informed of the Planned network freeze period for the 2023 National Election to enable proper management of customers’ expectations.

During this period all activities that will impact the network have been put on hold

The freeze periods are as below

1. Presidential and National Assembly elections: 6 days

.* start day 24 February 2023

*End date -1^st March 2023”

2. “Gubernatorial and State assemblies elections:6days

• Start day 10^thof March 2023
• End date 15^thMarch 2023”

“Please note that the start and end dates are inclusive of the freeze period

Activities will return to normal after the periods above.

Thank you for your understanding.”
