The Grammy award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, otherwise known as Burna Boy will be interrogated by the police over alleged shootings that occurred from security operatives attached to him at club Cubana last week Wednesday
This will be his second encounter with the police within the last six years
In November 2017, the artist was invited by Lagos State Police Command over an alleged robbery investigation.
Already, Lagos State Police Commissioner’s Special Squad has detained five policemen attached to the singer for attempted murder following the shooting of fun seekers at the Lagos club.
The names of those allegedly shot in the incident are: Irebami Lawrence and another fun seeker identified simply as Tolu.
Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, noted that to ensure detailed investigation of the case, Burna Boy would have to be interrogated.
So the level of involvement of everyone in the incident will determine his punishment or otherwise. We should not preempt what report will the reveal.”
