Today, December 2, 2023, Makes it 30  more days for Port Harcourt Refinery to come onstream 

Port Harcourt Refinery is scheduled to come onstream this December. However, the exact date has not been stated but Business Standards will keep tab on developments around the refinery by ticking the number of days it remains for Nigerians to witness the landmark event in the Nigerian economy every day.

“The federal government had said the Port Harcourt refinery would begin operations by December 2023. Speaking on Thursday during a broadcast programme on Arise TV, he said the December 2023 deadline is feasible. Kyari Confirms Port Harcourt refinery will start working in December

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari has confirmed that the Port Harcourt refinery will start working in December 2023.

Port Harcourt refinery to be ready in December 2023, says Lokpobiri 

Heineken Lokpobiri, the Minister of State for Petroleum (oil) has said that the Port Harcourt Refinery (PHRC) will be ready by December 2023.

This was contained in a release signed by Garba Deen Muhammad, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited late Friday.

We’ll hold NNPCL responsible for PH refinery December deadline’–Minister

Ahead of the planned resumption of production at the Port Harcourt Refinery Company in December 2023, the federal government says it will continue to hold NNPC Ltd responsible for the timeline announced to Nigerians.

The federal government in August 2023 announced that the Port Harcourt refinery will commence operations in December 2023, while rehabilitation works were in top gear to ensure that both Warri and Kaduna refineries resume operations by the end of 2024.
