… AI used to improve the quality
The Presidency has thrown more light on the photo taken together by the Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, and the Rwandan President, Paul Kagame in Paris on Monday.
According to the Presidency, the narrative that the picture of the two Presidents taken in Paris on Monday was AI-generated is not correct.
It stated further that the media reports and social media comments that followed are a misrepresentation of facts.
“The picture is real and not AI-generated as claimed. Both President Kagame and President Tinubu met in Paris and had lunch together on Sunday (yesterday). They both later had dinner with President Macron the same evening. The picture was taken with a phone and obviously had poor quality,” the Presidency stated.
“The photographer only later used grok to improve the picture quality. That is not a reason to conclude it was AI-generated. “
It stated that the writer or editor should have asked questions before this wrong conclusion.
