The Supreme Court, today, in Abuja delivered a judgment asking state governors to stay clear of Local Government Money, thereby paving the way for their Autonomy
The Supreme Court delivered this judgement on the suit the Federal Government filed to secure full autonomy for the 774 Local Government Areas, LGAs, in the country.
The Supreme Court recently said it had notified Attorney- General of the parties involved. In the case of the Federal Government, it notified The Federal Government was notified through the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, while the state governors were informed through their respective Attorneys-General.
