Turn a new leaf or…  –  New Police boss warns criminals

Tuesday Assayomo, the newly posted commissioner of police in Kwara State has warned criminals to turn a new leaf or relocate from the state.

The Commissioner, who gave the warning while briefing journalists in Ilorin announced that the command will make the state uncomfortable for kidnappers and other criminal elements in Kwara State.

He, however, assured that arrangement had been concluded to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the state.

Assayomo, while explaining that the command had strategized its structural system in line with the International best practices disclosed that  strong team has been constituted to make a wide investigation on the activities of cultists and cyber -criminals in the state.

The Police boss said: “We want to assure good people of Kwara that they have no reason to fear, panic or worry; as the police under my control are aware and sufficiently briefed on my zero tolerance for indiscipline.

” Kidnapers, cultists, cybercriminals, and other perpetrators of crime are should relocate for their own good.  As a professional police officer, I want to inform members of the public that we are here to perform our constitutional callings and as such ready to do that.”

Assayomo, promised that the command will collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure safety and security in the state saying, “we will rob minds with necessary agencies including our border operators to ensure peace and tranquility in the state.”
