Shell Deploys Combative Approach Towards Ending Covid 19 Pandemic

Shell says it is supporting communities around the world to combat Covid 19 pandemic and Nigeria is one if such areas where it is helping to tackling the menace of the disease aggressively.
The company is part of a group of companies, led by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, that donated around $30 million to the Nigerian government to support health-care facilities. Shell and its partners contributed around $3.2 million.
Nigerian off grid impact investing company All On, seeded with funding from Shell, has provided $500,000 to support four renewable energy companies in Nigeria in providing solar power to emergency health centres being set up to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight solar and storage systems have been installed in health facilities. And 95 solar systems designed for homes are being used to power emergency centres operated by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Shell Nigeria Gas (Shell interest 100%) donated medical equipment, including a testing machine, to the governments of Abia, Bayelsa and Ogun states to support them in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
