NNPCL Forced To Cancel Promotion Exams Because of Mass Failure

 

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL has canceled the recently concluded promotional exams for some of its staff as a result of the mass failure recorded in the exam
Ordinarily, the exams are meant to be sued to promote the staff of the company to manager level. But the performance of those that sat for the exam was said to be very poor and because of this, the management has to cancel it.
Another date before the end of this month has been set for a repeat of the exams which has already created tension within the organisation
According to inside sources within the NNPCL about 80 percent of those that sat for the exam scored just about 20 percent while less that 20 percent crossed the pass mark set by the company.
A lot of the staff that sat for the exam are alleged to be disgruntled because of the way and manner the organization has handled its recruitment of new staff which are greenhorns to the responsibilities they are offered at the expense of the well trained and tested old staff that have now been made redundant.
Already there the style of the management of the company is causing disquiet in the corporation as some people a are feeling short-changed by the actions of the management.
A source who pleaded not be named said, “Some staff wrote promotion exams to move places, as it is the case. They are Chief Officers and Deputy General Managers who are in M5 and M6 cadre.
