          NIPCO Gas Ltd Gets Award For Pioneering Effort

Nipco Gas Ltd, a leading gas company in Nigeria, has bagged two prestigious awards at the Nigerian Gas Association’s 13th International Conference and Exhibition ( NGAICE).

Nipco’s interventions started with the inauguration of Compressed Natural Gas stations in Benin, Edo State in 2009. The firm has so far inaugurated 12 outlets and was operating over 100km of pipeline network, providing piped natural gas to industries.

The awards: Nigeria Domestic Gas Ambassadors Award and Gas Sector Innovation Pioneer Award are in recognition of the company’s outstanding contributions to the country’s gas sector.

Presenting the awards at the epoch-making ceremony held at the iconic Abuja Continental Hotel, President, Nigeria Gas Association (NGA), Mr. ED Ubong said they are in recognition of the company’s role in deepening gas utilisation and pioneering innovative technology towards the growth and development of the Nigerian Gas Industry.

He described the occasion as celebration of the achievement of the glorious moments and successes recorded by NIPCO Gas Limited which has over the years exhibited faith in the resilience of the Nigerian economy through its huge investment in the gas industry.

Nipco Gas Managing Director, Nagendra Verma while receiving the awards on behalf of the company m,  expressed gratitude for the recognition, stressing that it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Nipco Gas team.

Mr Verma also emphasized the company’s commitment to promoting domestic gas utilisation and offering innovative solutions in the industry by assiduously pushing for the harnessing of the nation’s gas resources for national development

He noted that NIPCO Gas has established itself as a leading players in the gas industry, providing high-quality gas products and stellar services to customers across the country

According to him,  the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability has earned it a reputation as a trusted and reliable partner in the sector.

He noted that with these latest awards, Nipco Gas has once again demonstrated its leadership in promoting the growth and development of the Nigerian gas industry and contributing whole heartedly in the Decade of Gas and Nigeria Gas Expansion Programme as declared by Federal Government.

Mr Verma expressed deep appreciation to the organisers the yearly event even as he pledged that NIPCO would keep up the tempo in the full realisation of the growing benefits of a gas-powered economy for the country

He acknowledged the continued and smooth support from NNPC Gas Marketing Limited, NGML, which helped Nipco Gas to achieve greater heights and contribute towards the growth of the nation’s economy.

Verma affirmed that with NGML, Nipco Gas intends to cater to other markets of Nigeria by way of sustainable gas infrastructure which will help in deepening of gas utilization and increased monetisation of the abundant gas resouces of the country

Mr Verma also thanked President Ed Ubong for his visionary leadership and commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability in the sector which he noted has been an inspiration, promising that NIPCO looks forward to continuing to work together to achieve shared goals.

Nigerian Gas Association’s International Conference and Exhibition, held in conjunction with the Nigeria International Energy Summit, is a platform for industry stakeholders to discuss current issues and trends in the gas sector.

The conference with the theme: Ensuring the realisation of Nigeria’s Decade of Gas attracted a wide range of local and international participants, including policymakers, investors, and experts in the field.
