The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) and Bristow Helicopters Nigeria Limited (BHNL), has launched a specialised training programme to develop a new generation of Nigerian helicopter pilots for offshore oil and gas operations.

The Human Capacity Development (HCD) initiative, unveiled in Lagos, will train 10 Nigerians through world-class aviation programmes designed to prepare them for careers in one of the most critical support segments of the energy industry.

The programme is part of the NCDMB Field Readiness Training initiative, which was created to address skills shortages in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector as new investments and major projects drive demand for specialised professionals.

The wider initiative aims to train more than 10,000 young graduates and technicians in high-demand oil and gas skills, enabling them to participate in emerging projects led by international and indigenous energy companies.
