The Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Oba Sunday Adewumi Ologe as the substantive Olu of Ayetoro –Gbede,in Ijumu Local Government area of the state . The approval was contained a Letter of Approval Confirmation.
The new Olu of Ayetoro Gbede who was presented his letter on Monday by the state commissioner for local government, Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, is retired officer of the Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS) .
The letter of approval is an evidence of his elevation to the Obaship status by the kogi State Government.
The new Oba has hinted that a special day will be announced for the presentation of the Staff of Office.
Oba Sunday Adewumi Ologe was born in Otun-Arin, Ayetoro Gbede, ijumu local government of Kogi state on the 24th April, 1965, to the family of Mr/Mrs Jacob Adewumi Ologe of Otun quarters, Ayetoro Gbede.
He attended Baptist O.L.S.M.B. school Ayetoro Gbede for his primary Education from 1974-1980.
He attended Isapa community Secondary school where he obtained his o level in 1988.He further attended Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where he obtained his National Diploma (ND) from 1989-1991 in Business Administration and his higher National Diploma(HND) from federal polytechnic Nasarawa in Banking and Finance in the year 2001. He is a chattered associate member of the Nigeria institute of management. (Professional manger).
He joined the federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) as Assistant Executive officer in 1992 and rose to the position of Senior manager (Human Resources). He is presently on his three (3) months retirement leave which commenced on the 24th January, 2025 and expires by 24th April, 2025.
He spent 32 years and Nine (9) months in the service of federal Inland Revenue service (FIRS) from July 1992 to date.
He once served as the general secretary of AGDA (Gwagwalada Branch) from 2001 to 2011. He is also a member of board of trustee under the leadership of Elder. Olaolu Eniolorunda. He was also the chairman of Ayetoro Gbede Day celebration @89, 2nd May, 2016.
