Customers of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company are tackling the company for non-supply of electricity to what they described as a larger portion’ of its franchise area.
The reactions of the customers were spurred by the company’s apology over its inability to supply electricity to a good number of communities in Kwara region owing to problems associated with an 80 MVA power transformer at the Jebba station of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)
The areas affected are under Sabo/Nassarawa and Kainji Road 11KV feeders: Sabo Nasarawa, kainji lake National Park, New Bussa, School of Wild Life Management, Popo, Mokwa community and its environs.
Responding to the apologies, one of the customers of the company on Twitter handle went wield, and started mentioning other places that have been experiencing outages even when there were no reports of technical hitches. Many of such areas are under Ifo Undertaking which harbours a lot of underserved communities. These include Abule- Oko, Illepa, Iyana Illogbo just to mention a few.

Another customer simply described the Disco as the kingdom of darkness
