The need for improved gender sensitivity and equity in all ramifications has been stressed.

Christiana Abayomi -Oluwole, the chief executive officer, Global Hope for Women and Children Foundation stated this at the 2021 annual media brilliance conference.

According to her, women are disadvantaged and stereotype, charging the journalists to be more responsive to gender issues by reporting adequately about women.

“The media should portray male and female equally in their reportage. Media play a significant role in molding and reshaping the society thus, NGO and private organization should partner media in advocacy, research, sensitization, training among other activities to give equal attention to male and female in all areas,” she said.
