Dangote Refinery Says No Cause For Alarm Over Fire Incident At Its Refinery

Dangote Industries Limited on Wednesday allayed the fears of marketers and stakeholders, stating that there is no cause for alarm concerning the fire incident that occurred at its effluent treatment plant (ETP), of its refinery.

According to a statement signed by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer Dangote Industries Limited, it stated that there was recorded injury or bodily harm to any of its staff on duty.

“We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday 26th of June.

There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to any of our staff on duty.”

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and investigations are underway to determine the extent of the damage and what led to the incident.
