Celebrating Nosa Omorodion, A mentor Par Excellence, As He Was Awarded Doctorate Degree (PHD)

This principle remains same.

I met him in year 2010 at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) leadership summit. Natasha M. Rigg introduced us. He was the Africa region’s president and I was a new butterfly on his team.

He said, quite literally, I will support you to give a voice to the young professionals in the Africa energy sector. The YP networks all over the region are the testament. He, with his team of Gilbert OdiorFemi Esan, and Adedoja Ojelabi were dodged with this vision.

I had no idea this was going to be a chain reaction in my own life and a baptism into professional leadership, thanks to that first meeting with Dr. Nosa Omorodion who never says “no” to ideas that push others forward.

A mentor par excellence, when I shared some struggles, he reminds me… we do this because it is a responsibility and we are here to birth ideas that continue to grow. We must also be prepared to allow others step ahead of us. It is about the vision, never about us.

P 😉, your principle of lifting people up is not a leadership skill. It is your inate character. I am forever grateful our path crossed.

If I am to write the stories, we will be on count 12, with 1 book each year. Thank you for access.

I celebrate you everytime. Congratulations on your Ph.D Dr. Nosa Omorodion
