11Plc, owners of Mobil Service station at Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja that was caught in a fire incident said it regretted its occurrence.

“We regret to inform the general public that a fire incident occurred today at about 11 am, August 8th, 2024, at our Mobil Service Station at Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja. Our immediate response team, in collaboration with the Lagos State Fire Service, LASEMA, FRSC, the Nigeria Police Force, and Nigeria Civil Defence Agency effectively extinguished the fire.”

The company stated further that in the interest of public safety, it has temporarily closed the station until further notice.

“Our company is cooperating fully with relevant government agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.”

Additionally, 11Plc is assessing the extent of the damage and implementing necessary measures to minimize the likelihood of similar incidents in the future.

“We can confirm that those who suffered injuries have been evacuated to a nearby hospital.”
